Lexi-Comp Awarded Contract as Drug Information Provider for the Military Health System (MHS)

Hudson, OH (PRWEB) May 18, 2010 -- Lexi-Comp, Inc., a leading provider of clinical information and drug data solutions for healthcare professionals, was recently awarded a contract by TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) to provide the Military Health System with an Electronic Clinical Reference (ECR) Solution. The estimated contract award is valued with option years at $10 million.

Under the ECR contract, all MHS Active Duty, Reserve, and Guard healthcare personnel across all military treatment facilities, including 59 hospitals and 364 health clinics, have access to Lexi-Comp's 23 medical and 9 dental databases. The information is referenced when making decisions on prescribing, administering, and monitoring the effects of medications to help ensure patient safety and avoid drug interactions.
